This Privacy Policy describes how financeinyourpocket.com ("the site") handles data related to your visit.

2. Data we process
The calculators run entirely in your browser: the amounts and parameters you enter are never sent to or stored on any server. Anything saved locally (calculator inputs, so a form is pre-filled if you come back) is stored only on your own device using your browser's local storage, never on a server, and you can clear it at any time (see the Cookie Policy, section 7).
Beyond that, two data flows exist that don't depend on the calculators themselves:
- Technical access data (server logs): like any website, the hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data for each visit (IP address, date and time, browser) solely to serve pages and keep the service secure. See section 5 for the hosting provider.
- Google AdSense advertising: this site shows ads managed by Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technologies to show personalized advertising, as explained in section 3.
3. Advertising and third-party cookies (Google AdSense)
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google, as a third party, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets Google and its partners show ads based on your browsing activity.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from your Google Ads Settings, or read how Google uses data on partner sites in Google's own policies.
Whether those ads are personalizedis yours to decide, and you do not have to give up the site to decide it. Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in the footer of every page and Google is told, on every subsequent ad request, not to use your data or personalize what you see. Ads still appear; they are chosen from the page you are reading rather than from a profile of you. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, that same opt-out is applied automatically, with nothing for you to click.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked separately, before any personalized advertising is served, through Google's certified consent management platform.
4. Data retention
Data collected through third-party cookies is retained according to each provider's own schedule. You can check Google's retention periods in its own privacy policy.
5. Service providers
The site is hosted on Vercel Inc. infrastructure, which processes the technical access data (logs) needed to serve the site, under its own privacy policy. Beyond hosting, no data is shared with third parties except what results from using Google AdSense, which acts as an independent controller of the data it collects through its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
6. Security
The site is always served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Since the data you enter into the calculators is never processed on a server, the main security consideration is your own device: keep your browser up to date, and if you share your device with others, keep in mind that any calculator history saved locally would be visible to anyone using that same browser.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child in your care has provided personal information through this site, contact us at the email above to request its removal.
8. Your choices
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control in the footer of every page; it takes effect immediately and persists across visits. You can also manage Google ad personalization across every site in Google's network from your Google Ads Settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, and clear any calculator data saved locally from your browser's settings.
None of these choices withhold any part of the site. Every calculator returns the same result and every article stays fully readable either way — there is no “pay or consent” wall here. For any question or request about how your data is handled, contact us at the email above.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you specific rights over your personal information.
"Sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising:this site does not sell personal information for money, but Google AdSense's use of cookies to show personalized ads (section 3) meets the CPRA's broad definition of "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though no money changes hands.
You have the right to:
- Opt outof this sharing at any time using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link below or in the footer of any page. Opting out stops the personalization, not the site: ads continue to appear, chosen from the page rather than from your activity elsewhere.
- Have an opt-out preference signal honored. If your browser or an extension sends Global Privacy Control, this site reads it as a request to stop sharing and applies the opt-out on its own, before the first ad request of your visit. You do not need to click anything, and the footer control will already show you as opted out.
- Know what personal information we process about you (section 2) and request details about it.
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Non-discrimination: we will not deny goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

Since the calculators themselves never send your inputs to a server (section 2), most of what we hold about you is limited to the AdSense advertising cookies covered above, which you can clear directly from your browser at any time.
